Soil: Well-drained fertile soil or potting mixture (free from pest and disease)
pH: The ideal pH for the plant is 6 to 7.5

Temperature: The most suitable temperatures for growing range between 18 to 26 C
Sunlight: The light requirement is more than 6 hrs of direct sunlight.
Climate: It is commonly cultivated in cool moist climate conditions and during summer it requires partial shade

Season: Best season for growth in spring (Jan- march)
Propagation: The ideal method is to seed and also succeed in cutting. The seed will start germination 10 - 21 days after sowing.
Planting: The normal spacing between plant to plant is 15cm to 20cm and closer spacing of 10-15cm ideal.
Planting depth: 2.5- 3cm
Caring for my oregano plant.
Water: Watering should be done once a day. Avoid overwatering.
Nutrient: Apply well-decomposed plant and animal waste manures and also bone meal or
blood meals and also liquid fertilizers.
Harvest time: The plant is ready for harvest after 90 days of planting. It's continually growing up to 4 years with good plant care.

To control spray Neem oil 2-5ml per / liter or imidacloprid 17.8 % SL 2-3 ml / liter or Azadirachtin 1.0% EC 3ml/ lit dimethoate 30 % EC or Fipronil 5% SC 1-2 ml/ lit or phosphamidon 40 %SL 1.5 ml/ lit or Dicofol 18.5 % SC 2 ml / liter of water.
Major diseases
Botrytis rot or Stem rot
Spray neem oil 2-5ml/lit or copper oxychloride 2.5g /lit.twice in 14 days.
Plant care and maintenance
Apply regular nutrients to the plants.
Plants require little care and maintenance for when they grow vigorously.
Need pinching when reaching 15 cm or above will help for more side branches
Remove the older and unhealthy affected leaves and branches of plants and its give regular air circulation into the all the branches of plants
